(53,410 posts)You can go with the changes that your canvas needs now. Just forget what you originally wanted to do. All youve done is work more on the lower right quadrant, but it doesnt look messed up. It looks more developed than the rest of the painting. You can work on the rest of the painting to get it as developed. I really like your bank of flowers in the lower left. If you define those more it will help balance your composition. Try that and see if it works.
I like what youve done with the shadow in the water. It looks broken up the way it would on moving water.
If you feel youre ruining it then you have nothing to lose by just continuing to work on it. Theres freedom in that. If you just make a mess of it then just let it go and start a whole new painting.

If that isn't suitable for you commissioner, it would look good on my wall.
