Was Sammy the original gold chain dude?

Kinda of like the end of a musical era meeting the beginning of a new one.

...and, yeah, back in the day, there were TV shows that blended all sorta different stuff - musical genres - into the contemporary entertainment of the day.

Edited for clarity.

And both are among my favorite people, even aside from their singing.

Depicting them as being jovial and on fire, burning hot is so true to their impact on our lives. Both glass ceiling shatterers. Both innovative music makers and both beloved. Sammy Davis Jr, known as the world’s greatest entertainer, knew how to make the audiences roar. My favorite memory of him is his iconic “Here come Da judge!” in Laugh In. It’s that memory of him that pops into my mind first. Mama Cass had the voice heard around the world. She did blaze resplendent like a sun and was gone too soon. So many great music people left too soon.
