I decapitated plenty of GI-Joes in my youth, but never thought to graft the head of something else on there. We'd mainly shoot them with pellet guns and if you hit it just right the limbs and head would go flying in all directions.

Like my advertising art, this too has been taken over by Photoshop and CGI. The effect at the time was quite Avant-garde, futuristic, quirky and extremely odd. His imagination was already placed in the future by his concepts. People must have felt a bit unnerved by it. Now it just seems logical in a way.
