You do a great job with what you have to work with!

I think with watercolors, a lot of the trick is in how wet (or dry) the paper is. But she does some great You Tube tutorials.

You nailed the eyes, that inquisitive, what-the-heck-are-you-doing expression pups give us all the time. Also the sheen on the black coat. Like his/her nails peeking out from beneath the paws. Makes me want to jump into the frame and give the pupper a hug.

I mixed in blue and a little bit of purple trying to get the lighter and darker areas. Did you ever post the painting you did of your daughter’s Lab? I’d love to see it.
