2 part epoxy. I've worked in it for 30 years or so and have taught many workshops. I have a Beginner's Guide that I can share with you. I believe it's on their website as well http://avesstudio.com

If you want to try it I can help you.

Thank you so much for the very kind words! As above, so below.

I would like to give it a try but there are two things in queue before I can start something new;

1. I will be moving at some point in the coming months and so all projects are on hold, there are several already waiting. I had to move unexpectedly in a rush a couple years ago and have not been able do get anything accomplished at this place. But I get to move into a somewhat larger place where I will have a work room and a living room, neither of which will be my bedroom! And that will matter.

2. There are a few big projects, finishing a braided rug that's half made, two sewing projects, three beading projects and I have to print another series of my block printed/hand painted greeting cards. Also, I have a new piano and recording set up but I need a quiet room, I have the baffling, I don't have the room currently. The second bedroom will take care of that.

So it might be a little while but I like the idea of the craft, I liked making maps with salt/flour paste in grade school, I got pretty good at it. This looks easier to work with media, that always gets my attention.

Thanks for the info, I'll bookmark this for later.

One of my sisters sent me some soft pastels to paint with, but I have too many things to finish!

It'll be another 6 months or so before I can get to that.

A good friend gave me a nice acrylics set, a nice one, and I can't even attempt... It's still in the packaging.

But I'll be getting to it. I tend to work more than one project at a time.
