(2,818 posts)so calm, and really exudes the peace of nature. That would make the most lovely of holiday cards!
What did you use to get those raised snowflakes and some of the deer's white highlights? Acrylic?

(92,332 posts)The highlights for snow are well done. I hardly ever try to paint snow so looking at how you do that informs me.
I have requested, and will likely get soon, a different unit in the housing complex-ish place where I live. I can have a larger one which gives me 40% more space, I can have a work room for my projects and I can baffle it off for my sound recording stuff! I have everything I need except space and distance form the nosy, crazylady... a magat who lives too close and occasionally comes over and does a Karen meltdown in my doorstep. Because of her, I get to move in a "reasonable accommodation" relocation so I don't have to file a restraining order on her.
I plan to go gangbusters on a few things right away, one involves watercolor, looking forward to this new development. Winter is near and I'll have plenty to do.
I'm starting to feel a little more inspired. I may have painting questions later.

(242 posts)I had a friend, coworker over 40 years ago would draw a pen and ink picture for Christmas, take it to a copy center, use nice paper, and make 20 copies. Then add a little water color to each picture. They were gorgeous and very personal. They were original paintings for her family and close personal friends. I would love to recieve a card like that. I love your picture. I wish I could still draw/paint but due to nueropathy my artistic days are over.
