Any artists on Mastodon?

I'm not an artist... just started playing with watercolor and been finding artists to follow for inspiration. I discovered that ppl are using the hashtag #PortfolioDay to amplify their work and I discovered artists all over the place!

I only *just* (yesterday ) joined this group on DU and see we have some very fine talent for inspiration here as well.

Just wanted to pass along the Mastodon tip.

May I suggest checking out Emily Olson on youtube. She has tons of free videos and she specializes in watercolors.

I'll add it to my growing list!!

At this point, I need to trace stuff and then do my painting... a bit like paint-by-the-numbers, so I'm also working on some sketching lessons and just doing contour drawings at the moment.
