Sour cream. Haven't made in awhile.
Edited to add sour cream instead of just cream.

Granny Smith? Pretty one dimensional variety. If you want a green apple with some character...Ananas Reinette, Rhode Island Greening, Orleans Reinette, Bramley's Seedling, Tower of Glamis, Keswick Codlin, Lord Derby, Mutsu...

(3,873 posts)The best varieties have a more complex flavor. By the way, we get color on Granny Smith here. They have a strong red blush. We are pretty far north, and the farther north, the longer the photo period. The longer the photo period the more anthocyanins a plant produces, because anthocyanins protect the plant tissue from sun damage. Anthocyanins give color to the fruit (and also to fall leaves which is why the fall colors are more intense in the North.) Anthocyanins also act as anti-inflammatory agents.
Probably more than you wanted to know.

(29,264 posts)Our big black-and-brown male tabby loves arugula. Also spinach, Brussels sprouts leaves, and broccoli. He apparently does not realize he is supposed to be an obligate carnivore.
I have seen him turn away from a bowl of cat food if there is arugula to be had.

Broccoli and Brussels sproutsmy folks never made me try them, and saved them for dinner parties and such. I was a little pissed when I found out how good they could be
I mean, seriously. Halve and sauté them, add a few walnuts or pecans, a glaze of walnut-raspberry vinagrette, and who can resist? My daughter has been known to arm wrestle me for the last few on the plate.
Edited because I forgot the dried cranberries!!!
