and they do make 'em that way so if the whole ones are available that's my pick. Grillo's makes a damn tasty brine

I also make my own and they're pretty dang good too if I say so myself!

And dill relish. Except in potato salad where I prefer diced sweet pickles or sweet relish. My son likes a particular brand of dill pickles so much he drinks the "juice" when the jar is empty.

There’s a place on the lower east side of NYC that has all sorts of pickled things. My favorite are the new pickles (not as sour) and the pickled pineapple.

My wife thought it would be fun to get me some of those in a hot & spicy version.
Threw them out. As much as I like garlic dill pickles, these were way too hot! It was like the just poured pepper spray in the jar. Shazam, were those things hot.
So, I guess I like regular old garlic dill pickles.

They're hard to find in this part of the country.

"Bubbies" is pretty much the only brand that even comes close. Sometimes I make my own.

But back in the day, it was Claussen Kosher Dill Pickle sandwich slices. I remember liking them on Old Fashioned Loaf lunchmeat. I haven't had that in years, either.
