A pet peeve...

It makes me nuts when people try to put food in my mouth without letting me see it.

I know it is a trust thing, but I also find it freaking rude. Very intrusive! And there is always that person who is determined to get you to eat something that you have said repeatedly you don't want to eat. It's controlling and annoying.

Part of eating something is examining it visually first, likely a leftover from our stone-age days when inspecting food might be a life or death protective habit.

Maybe I am paranoid. I don't even trust my best friend to "feed me" something without me seeing what it is.

Does that seem unreasonable???

I am glad nobody I know tries to do that to me. I wouldn't maintain as close a relationship after a first incident. Might just be me but, I'm with you on this one.

I still have a broken collarbone so I can't really throw them across the room, thought I might want to.

Is horribly rude! “Oh, you’ve never had it made the right way,” or ,” I’ll bet you’ve never had it made like THIS,”. etc.

My husband is like this with a certain type of ketchup he likes. Every time he gets it out he insists I have to try it and every time I have tell him NO. I have told him 1000 times ketchup to me is vile.
