8" of fresh powder today. And 6 degrees F tonight.

The lightest and most delightful snow you can imagine. Cleared approx 700 sf of decking/stairs, Then cleared the solar panels. Fed the birds and the deer. It was actual nice to enjoy the day here without a lot of wind. Although the driveway wasn't plowed, no problems with my 4wd truck to get needed supplies (wine, smokes). In spite of the current cold, comfortably warm, unlike too many fellow Americans.

Merry Christmas to all that retain the spirit.

And please send it my way! The high today was 67 F--n Boulder, Colorado! It is depressing! I might as well be in Florida.

Still, Merry Christmas to you and yours.

I used to live near Breckenridge, CO and the nights after those snows, almost like twilight all night.
How glorious.

I'm in Santa Fe, the high today was about 60, some 15 degrees above normal for this time of year. While nice, it's a bit scary. The ski resorts have not been able to open, I don't think. No snow. Not cold enough to make snow. A bit depressing for the ski places.

I bet the skiing at Sugarloaf was fantastic today. You don't get these kind of snowfalls here very often.

I really hate it when someone posts about their weather without giving a clue as to where they are.

we are breaking all kinds of heat records, with no appreciable snow yet........

The Ski areas are mostly open, but only on the runs with man made snow

Future forecasts are showing more of the same............

Snow pack, so far, not anywhere near normal........Phoenix, Las Vegas, and SoCal better start immediately rationing their water rationing even more, .....
