Jidge Carroll sings two songs onscreen in the film, the theme song titled "High Ridin' Woman," written by Harold Adamson and Harry Sukman; and "God Has His Arms Around Me," written by Victor Young and Harold Adamson. Both songs were later recorded by the western singing group, The Sons of the Pioneers, and released on their single for RCA (RCA 47-7079) on November 1, 1957.
If you have not seen this Western -- you need to watch it!

(40,615 posts)I had such a crush on James West but really it was his fab train that I lusted for. 🚂 But the music...I love it. It has a victorious feel to it & I remember humming it during the entire 2004 election season. Oh, how I cried that night.

(1,061 posts)I own a CD box set of Marty Robbins' song and he tells the story of the girl in the song El Paso and a man a hundred years later flying over El Paso.
The song about the girl is Feleena (from El Paso) and tells her story from her birth to her going to El Paso and falling in love with anoutlaw.
El Paso City is about a man flying over El Paso and feels a supernatural connection to the outlaw.
