(6,715 posts)Moved to the couch then ended up in bed watching the game. Dozed off a couple of times, but woke up to see the Lions beat the 49ers! Tonight will be the same and will hear fireworks and gun shots while in bed.

I'm sure the New York celebration will be great, and I will catch it on re-runs tomorrow morning.

If I go, and that's a big IF, we watch one of their tv stations on a big screen and welcome the new year with the people in Estonia at 5 p.m. NJ time. It's a huge relief for us oldsters who can't stay up till midnight, local time.

(26 posts)Most of my long-dead ancestors were from the UK, with others from northern Europe. I can just celebrate on GMT. Does anyone know when London celebrates? I'm in the Central time zone.
