2. GD (General Discussion) would be more appropriate. The lounge is fine to introduce yourself...

but it is meant for lighter fare and some escapism--as opposed to the rest of DU.

8. Ideas on this topic have been shared, mostly in GD but in

other forums as well, like the economy and personal investing, not to mention the support forums and the activism forums.

The Lounge is one of a very few forums where people go to take a break from it all.

11. Locking

On each forum on DU there is a button that says About Forum. Please the page that clicking the button brings up. For the DU Lounge it provides a Statement of Purpose which says

Our social forum. Relax with your friends and talk about off-topic stuff. The Lounge is supposed to be a friendly, welcoming place for everyone. No cliquish behavior. No drama. No political arguments. No whining about DU.

There is also an Options button which allows you to delete your post.

Since this post is in violation of that Statement of Purpose I am locking this post.
