Where can I get sugar free cakes for my diabetic husband?

I couldn't find any sugar free cakes at the supermarket and it is his birthday today. He will have one cupcake that isn't sugar free but it was that or nothing.

Now I realize that Amazon probably has them.

Any consumer advice about shopping for diabetics would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You might find a local bakery that makes sugar free goodies. I would start there before ordering on Amazon. tulipsandroses Oct 31 #1

That way you can possibly get a sample before buying. Sugar free baked goods are more expensive. I'd prefer to try it before buying it. I've had some good ones and some really awful ones.

There's a sugar free bakery here in Atlanta but they are super expensive. When I lived in Florida, there was one the next town over. Never bought their cakes, because again, too expensive, but I got cookies from there every now and then.

If there is Cheesecake Factory in your neck of the woods, they have Sugar Free Cheesecake slices.

If you are up to experimenting - Duncan Hines has sugar fee bake mixes in supermarkets. You gotta play around with it though to get it right. I've added regular cake mix to it. I am not a baker so I can't give you any tips. Lol.

Pillsbury makes cake mixes that are sugar free in chocolate or vanilla. They also have a brownie mix, and frosting in vanilla and chocolate. I find them at Target, HEB and Kroger.
