Officers who fought off the mob that stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 say the atmosphere was very different on Tuesday as Kamala Harris spoke at the same spot where Donald Trump urged his supporters to “fight like hell” in 2021.

“It wasn’t about retribution, it wasn’t about subverting our Democracy, but being hopeful,” one officer said about Harris’ speech.
