Half a year out from the Kentucky Derby.
Bourbon, brandy, triple sec over ice in a highball glass. Yummy!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I lift my glass to my old friend ailsagirl, whom I havent heard from in a while. Hope all is well.

Got a job interview on Monday!
Haven't been out there for a while.
Are you looking at working back at the clinic you were at before or something different?

(68,269 posts)I was last-hired, first-fired.
The good news is, theyre paying me through the end of December. So Ive been taking some much-needed paid time-off.
Im still gobsmacked at how much better an employee is treated when they have a college degree as opposed to without.
Before I went to PA School, if I got fired or laid off, it was Get lost! Good luck! Now its Were terribly, terribly sorry. Here! Heres three months pay, and your benefits will be in effect for the full three months! Were so sorry to lose you!

(92,451 posts)I meant the clinic you were at prior to the place that laid you off. Anyway, I hope you take your time finding another job, you deserve your personal time. You don't notice it until you aren't required anymore but a life of regular "on call" duty can take a lot out of you.

(68,269 posts)But the workload was killing me. I dont think I could face that again. The recruiter for the job Ill be interviewing for was shocked when I told her what my typical daily schedule at my old employer was like. Thats a good sign.
