Bought a new vacuum today.

Kenmore 600 series cannister vac.

Our old Kenmore cannister lasted about 35 years.

My wife was the last one to use it and she said it was starting to crap out.

I repaired it once...didn't feel like looking at it again, so we bought a new one.

Isn't that exciting?

Yay.

Woo Hoo.

I have a Dyson v10 Cyclone, had to order a new battery for it, even though we rarely used it. Dyson says you need to let it cool for 5 minutes after use before docking it in the charger. That is the reason they gave for premature battery failure. Of course, I never thought to leave it laying on the floor for 5 minutes after use. But, it is a good vacuum, so I ordered the battery, it should arrive in a couple days.

3 of them have bags, as if I can remember where I keep the bags or which bags I need when I can't find them.

...in a section of the Emergency Department. It was the minor trauma and holding unit. No resuscitations.

I got to work one Sunday morning to find several of the staff snickering. A man in his 50s had sneaked into his sister's home in the middle of the night and got into a spot of trouble attempting to pleasure himself with his sister's vacuum cleaner. The poor on-duty surgical intern was having a difficult time deciding how to write up this incident.

At the time, Sears had a vacuum attachment known as the Beater Bar Power Mate. I kid you not.

They came with brand new top vacuums. They used them till the bags got full and tossed them when they moved.

We had so many vacuums we sold a couple and gave them as gifts.

I'm sure there is someone who would refurbish it.

I may put it out on the curb and listing it as "free" on Craigslist.

I did that once with a broken miter saw, and it was gone in about 30 seconds.
