Is that easier than id.me? I deleted the email thinking it was spam.
Do you not get your SS money if you don't do this? I'm worried
What's the difference login.gov or id.me
Do I have those URLs right?

(3,837 posts)I started with ID.me but switched to login.gov. I like that one better and the user interface is much more graceful. Hope this helps.

(16,916 posts)Login to your ssa.gov account and it will ask you if you want to link to your login.gov, or create an account if you dont have one.
There are a few steps involved, but they arent hard. And once you have a login.gov account you can use it for tsa precheck, global entry, and other govt services.

(30,912 posts)Unless you have at least of hour of your time to burn) I asked her about that. and she told me I didn't have to do that as I have been on SS since 1998. Two years on SSDI and when I hit 65 they moved me to regular SS. I was told it would NOT be receive a call or email. I would receive a letter. I was told it was for newer members just going on SS. I hope this helps. From experience they will not call or email you. PS I hope you are feeling better. Love, Debbie
