(8,274 posts)Those are tenacious animals, very hard to catch. He would go out at night and return before dawn, sometimes after a few days. It took a couple months to catch him with humane traps. He was then transported out into the country; he would have just gone back up into my attic otherwise. What an ordeal! But there are laws around transporting them due to rabies and whatnot (I hired a wildlife control company). It's actually easier to kill a nuisance animal from a legal perspective.

(157,026 posts)I actually fell over one of them, skipping down the apartment outside stairs at 0200 AM......he was at the bottom and we both ended up sprawled and he ran off - I was very lucky I didn't get bitten! I live in a metroplex yet there are critters everywhere!
