They go through 8 oz of sugar water EVERY DAY!!!! I have two feeders. One hanger, and the other is a window feeder. The hanging on goes slowly, the window feeder??? There are 4 hummers fighting over this feeder all day long. Sometimes 2 & 3 will sit on it and drink, not very often, but they do. I love these birds.

1. Do you name the regulars? We have some.

Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal visit together at our bushes. Then they fly off. Fat Robin flies in for a visit; he's so fat I wonder how he gets aloft.

We have a sweet hummingbird who visits on May 1 or 2, not any other time. We missed him/her this year as we were in Europe.

6. Yes, yes, I have named three of them.....guzzler, bobber, and gazer.

Guzzler can drink for minutes, Bobber, drinks up and down, up and down, and Gazer drinks a little, then will look all around for a while before it drinks again. It seems as though i’ve had these three for a couple of years. I don’t know the 4th ones name it just comes when the others are drinking and they scare it off, so I haven’t seen him drink really yet. Love them all.

2. I only have 1 or 2 daily. Probably more loss to evaporation than HB's dipping in for refreshment.

4. How nice. My Mom and Dad had them too, and had the feeders right outside their kitchen window, when

they were drinking their morning coffee. It was so nice to watch them, I could watch them all day. They have videos out on YouTube where you can watch them, but of course, I'd prefer the real thing.

7. I feed

Hummingbirds. I have for over 40 years. I used to use a window feeder. One spring I was late putting the feeder up and a hummer came to that window and ran into it. I live in northern Ohio so they are migrating. They remember where they were fed the previous year. I love my hummers too.

9. We have 4 feeders. That's the only way we can make it through the week.

In about a week or so they'll really start migrating back, and we'll have to fill every 3-4 days.
They are cheeky little devils and give you what for when you're trying to swap them out! We only get Ruby Throats here.
