Complain here about bad socks!!

Socks are half the thickness of 1990. They wear out fast and provide little cushioning! Together with shoes built on molded memory soles but without arch support (like 1990 shoes), we will be a nation of FLAT FEET! Podiatrists are ecstatic! This is really bad and painful. Maybe it's a conspiracy to sell size 13 sneakers?

Darn Tough makes a wide variety of socks - not just hiking, but lifestyle socks too. They are expensive but have a lifetime warranty. I have a bunch of lightweight hikers, a few running pairs, and 4-5 pairs for when I go to the office.

Balega and Bombas make decent socks too. I wear both brands for running. Bombas also makes socks for dress shoes that are quite comfy. Bombas also donates a pair for every one sold. Some of my Balega socks are 4-5 years old and are still in great shape.

I love those socks!! Comfortable, great colors, NO TOE SEAM, heels don't get baggy and they last a long time.
The athletic socks are great! I especially like the golf socks in the Texas heat

I do wear those sneaker socks sometimes. I know men generally have to wear them if they're working in an office.

6. I hear what your saying and agree. I tend to spend a bit and buy a few pairs and rotate them often, like shoes

Merlino wool blend is my fav. I never heard of darn tough and it looks interesting. A bit more expensive but a
lifetime warranty? that's great. Plus it's a family company which is what I like to support also.
Now if I could find a car/truck with those credentials...Hummmmm

A little pricey but they have good cushioning. I’ve been wearing them for decades. I’ll have to take a look at Darn Tough.

Except I’m a goddam liar!

I go Wolverine boot socks when I can find them. And when I do, I buy a LOT of them.

I'm trying to visualize but it's not coming through. You mean they lost elastic and fell to your ankles?
