2. If it was an Android phone, all the most important stuff should already be backed up to your google account.

Android phone store contacts, etc in your google account, not your phone.

It should've regularly backed up that info, including pictures taken, etc. and all you need to do is transfer your sim card to another phone. speaking from personal experience.

I don't have any idea if the iPhone does anything similar.

iPhone died, black screen, nothing would bring it back. Bought a new one. Idiot at the Verizon store had no idea how to restore it. Luckily I had kept up with backups. I found Restore From Backup in Settings of the new one, and voila! My old phone in my new phone. Worked like a charm, but this was iPhone to iPhone.

4. Get it fixed, mine just did the same thing and also wouldn't take a charge. Google cell phone repair for your area.

Power would not boot up. I got it up for a second because I had tried to take the plastic cover off. Then it went off again. Then I completely took the plastic cover off and the thing became unglued. Gosh I hope it back up on google.

I back mine up to a hard drive every now and then, but that's mainly for the pictures. Those are on a micro SD card that I could pull and copy anyway.
