......Volkswagen had given to the dealers as a promotion. She wouldn't sign the final papers until he gave her the toy, which he really didn't want to do.

45. The Farmer's Dog "Forever" commercial

When the commercial was first played during the 2023 super bowl, my adult son had a 13 year old lab, Barley, that looked exactly like the dog in the commercial. Barley had been his constant companion since he got him as a very young puppy while in law school. Later, Barley became a wonderful "big brother" to Son's three young children. After seeing the commercial, which played early in the game, I texted Son that I had "already cried over a commercial." He said "Yeah, I know. The one with Barley in it."
