Trump says 'cancel' America 250 concert

President Trump on Saturday called for the cancellation of the concert celebrating America’s 250th birthday after multiple artists withdrew from performing at the upcoming Great American State Fair on the National Mall.

Trump wrote on Truth Social that there should be “a giant MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN RALLY, for 250, instead of having overpriced singers, who nobody wants to hear, whose music is boring, and yet who do nothing but complain.”

“Cancel it, just like I canceled my involvement with the failing and unsafe to be in Kennedy Center, because a Highly Conflicted, Crooked Federal Judge, said that I should not be allowed to spend my time and money in order to MAKE THE CENTER GREAT AGAIN, actually, far greater than it ever was before!” the president added.

Several artists have withdrawn from performing at the June 25 celebration, stating that they signed on to perform at a nonpartisan event. Country singer Martina McBride said she “was assured this was a nonpartisan event that was meant to celebrate ALL 50 states.”

17. Major FAIL by The Hill. There was NEVER a singular concert scheduled for June 25. Multiple concerts were always planned.

Also, the concerts were under the banner of FREEDOM 250, a MAGA organization, NOT America 250. America 250 is non-partisan and the performers were led to believe that was who was sposoring the concerts. They backed out when they found out it was FREEDOM 250.

The only person sceheduled for June 25 was Martina McBride. The concerts were spread out over the course of almost 2 weeks.

One of the rumors that came out about why some performers were cancelling is because they claimed they weren't actually asked. Is this true, or just a rumor?
