A Government That Treats Its People Like the Enemy Has No Right to Their Loyalty
If the government treats us like the enemy, what exactly are we supposed to be loyal to?
Seriously, someone should ask this question of the president and also of our congressional leaders — the Democrats, as well as the Republicans — to wake them up.
We are living under an occupation and the occupying force is the United States government. All those “Don’t Tread of Me” flags and government tyranny memes that dotted suburban porches and right-wing feeds? Turns out they might have had a point — just not the ones MAGA thought.
It’s now the United States government — Donald Trump’s government — that is treading on the rights of regular Americans to drive down their streets to medical appointments or from school drop-off.
