All of these people are tied together by these loose online networks, activated by deeply cynical influences many outside the country and galvanised by viral online disinformation from unknown and untrustworthy sources.

The far right has been way ahead of the left in terms adopting tech for decades.

(17,324 posts)...which is why it's so hard to understand why the DOJ and Homeland Security is allowing it to continue and hasn't shut this major threat down yet.
Even just letting these dangerous, extremist, terror planners publicly know that they are being closely watched would help to prevent whatever plans they are working on from being carried out, and it would also stop the spread of their ideology from reaching these dangerous levels of acceptance.
