BTRTN: We Can Change the World...If We Wake the Sleeping Giant

Born To Run The Numbers sees an historical analogy in our current political environment... and that analogy unveils the blueprint for victory in November:

Excerpts: "A nation divided. Two unpopular presidential candidates. One was a former candidate mounting a comeback from what appeared to be his political grave, seeking to exploit the fault lines. The other was the incumbent, a former congressional giant who crafted legendary legislative achievements in his first term, yet was unable to mount a credible campaign, too weakened politically — by a single gaping liability — to continue. Within the space of a week, the incumbent withdrew his quest for reelection, gunshots rang out, the country was convulsed, and the presidential election was entirely upended. For historians and those of us of a certain age, the events of the past few weeks brought just one thought: 1968...
"We’ve come so far since the 1960’s – but it is unraveling. Reproductive rights have come and gone. Voting rights were won, and then lost. We banned assault weapons and now they are back. We had RFK then, we have RFK, Jr. now. We got rid of Nixon but could not do the same with Trump, a far more dangerous would-be despot. Just read Project 2025 to understand the full agenda of a Trump second term. And listen to Trump himself for his plans after that. But there is little outrage. Where are the protests, the sense that we can change the world? There is no soundtrack. There is simply despair, but that despair is not paired with that ‘60’s determination...
"...I am looking to the Sleeping Giant of the youth vote. It’s about time they stepped up and took control of the fate of the America they are inheriting, and the planet on which it rests. The 18-29 demographic is huge, 53 million strong. They voted for Biden by a 60/36 margin in 2020, but only 55% of them turned out, the lowest of any age group, and well below the 67% total turnout. It was even worse for Hillary, just 44%. Simple math dictates that if 10 million more turn out in 2020 than 2024, that would lead to more than two million extra votes for Harris, clearly enough to swing a close election. It is their time. They can change the world. The question is: will they?"
