'A Nation in SERIOUS DECLINE': GOP platform is an unhinged all-caps list of Trump lies

Great news: The Republican Party is now officially just as weird and drunk-uncle-ish as Donald Trump, the convicted felon the party is rolling out as its presidential candidate/democracy saboteur.

On Monday, the Republican National Committee's platform committee adopted the strangest document ever created and declared it the party’s new official platform. It was less a serious expression of a party’s values and plans for governing and more a reminder that Republicans think actual policy proposals are for woke ninnies and American voters should just shut up and let billionaires control things.

The title of the document is: “2024 GOP PLATFORM MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Yes, there is punctuation – presumably a colon – missing from that title. And yes, there is an exclamation point at the end of that title, which should serve as a reminder that this is a wildly unserious political party.

But don’t worry, it gets far, far worse.

want the country to belong to them. They have their own idea of how a country and economy should function and we're not now, nor have we ever done it the way they think is best. Therefore, they're going in on their last gasp to make it happen. There is a major problem with their brains... besides having shrunken amygdalas. These people can't learn. I think because they *can't* learn, they simply gave up on trying a long time ago. Therefore, anything written by those they deem leaders are to be followed to the letter.

They tried this in Pinochet's Spain; they tried it again in Iraq and Afghanistan. Those are just the times of we are most aware. How many times did they try to do this after instituting regime change in South and Central American countries? Many of us have wondered in the past why we can't just keep out of other country's issues and governments after their people have voted. This is the answer to that question, IMO. They've always wanted to do this PNAC/P2025 project and hold it up as a shining example of a third way... a way better than capitalism, and a way better than communism. Unfortunately, it doesn't even hit the low notes of either of those two ideologies. It can't work because it's fundamentally flawed. They just refuse to see the fundamental flaw. People are not going to be treated like serfs and gratefully give everything they own to corporations and billionaires. The Dark Ages were proof of that. Neither are they going to blow off their own personal belief systems to allay someone else's fears of hell or an afterlife.

The camps that P2025 talks about are no doubt already being built on the downlow... that way, they'd be ready to go on Day 1 of T's dictatorship. I suggest we use them as education camps. NOT re-education, mind you... but education. Institute schools of learning from Junior High through at least the first year of college. And give it free to anyone who wants to take advantage of it... especially push it towards the poor republicans who never learned the reality of facts of living in the U.S.

Ah, I feel bad today... I'm not cutting them any slack because I'm sick and tired of their stochastic terrorism. I think the evil child inside me wants to give it back to them in some measure. Still... they need to be educated, and by using not only the facts of reality, but also by using their own failures as examples. I'd say encourage discussions around these areas, but I don't think they can discuss anything beyond "because he said so!" (LOL)
