What Trump told Lavrov & Kislyak 7 years ago, and the events that led up to that turning point for the US Intel
COMMUNITYA riveting article from Vanity Fair that also summarizes the Intel Community's three hypotheses on why Trump betrays classified intelligence to foreign adversaries.
VF explains why, believe it or not, Netanyahu has kept his enemy, trump, very close.
Last four paragraphs...
In Israel, though, the mood is more than merely wary. Mr. Netanyahus intelligence chiefs . . . are up in arms, a prominent Israeli journalist insisted in The New York Times. In recent interviews with Israeli intelligence sources the frequently used operative verb was whitenas in certain units from now on will whiten their reports before passing them on to agencies in America.
What further exacerbates Israels concernskeeps me up at night was how a government spymaster put itis that if Trump is handing over Israels secrets to the Russians, then he just might as well be delivering them to Iran, Russias current regional ally. And it is an expansionist Iran, one Israeli after another was determined to point out in the course of discussions, that is arming Hezbollah with sophisticated rockets and weaponry while at the same time becoming an increasingly visible economic and military presence in Syria.
Trump betrayed us, said a senior Israeli military official bluntly, his voice stern with reproach. And if we cant trust him, then were going to have to do what is necessary on our own if our back is up against the wall with Iran. Yet while appalled governments are now forced to rethink their tactics in future dealings with a wayward president, there is also the dismaying possibility that a more tangible, and more lethal, consequence has already occurred. The Russians will undoubtedly try to figure out the source or the method of this information to make sure that it is not also collecting on their activities in Syriaand in trying to do that they could well disrupt the source, said Michael Morell.
What, then, was the fate of Israels agent in Syria? Was the operative exfiltrated to safety? Has he gone to ground in enemy territory? Or was he hunted down and killed? One former Mossad officer with knowledge of the operation and its aftermath will not say. Except to add pointedly, Whatever happened to him, its a hell of price to pay for a presidents mistake.

This is not about being addicted to Trump news, or impugning our corrupted corporate media.
Democrats are simply not done with the felon and what he (& his oligarch network) has done to the nation, until the nation and Joe Biden force him out of the government arena.

We lost numerous foreign assets. I guess if we call people/ human beings, foreign assets it doesn't sound so bad when they are killed.

deal with people they don't like... or are incompatible with them for some reason. Dehumanization is always the way autocrats, dictators, and tyrants do to those who are on the "opposite side" as they view it. Today in the U.S., the LBGTQ+ community, racial minorities, and women are among those experiencing the worst of dehumanization. Tomorrow, they'll come for others. No one is safe, not even the magas, if they'd give it half a thought!
