Republicans are running around in a total meltdown right now, because they know there’s a very good chance that on Thursday night, Little Donny Fuckface is going to shit the bed on live TV. it’s a legit concern, for two reasons.

first, it’s obvious to everyone but the hardest-core cultists that Donny’s brain has left the building. sticking him in front of a microphone these days is just courting disaster. ask Donny a question, and you’re rolling a very demented pair of dice.

ask him about aid to Ukraine. you might get something that approaches an actual answer — but you’re just as likely to get a two-minute soliloquy on what if a migrant fought a shark in battery-infested waters, who would win, because some of those migrants are very tough. ... [snip]

here’s the second concern: Donny’s too lazy to prepare, and is just going to wing it.

I hope he doesn’t, and I’ll watch the shit show if it happens. I read somewhere that Donny wanted both parties to take a drug test. Everything I’ve read before said wanted Biden to be tested but not himself. I certainly wouldn’t agree to just Joe being tested, but if both of them would submit to a test before debate by an independent reputable lab I might consider it. But Joe is a pro, he’ll make the right decision

Joe would never do it, but I’d love to see him clicking like a chicken if trulps starts to walk off. I’m thinking more and more he’ll cancel. He can make his big tough guy statements where there is no one to stand up to him and all he has is his cherring fan club.
