'Mild panic will set in soon': GOP donors left to wonder about Trump's $300 million war chest

Source: Politico

Republican donors have given massive sums of money to Trump’s operation. But they are in the dark about how he’s going to spend it in the midterms.

There is mounting anxiety among party donors about when and how Trump will deploy his $300 million war chest, and concern that the White House is missing an opportunity to reinforce the party now when it is facing electoral threats on all sides. Some Republicans fear Trump may ultimately opt to hold back some of the money from the midterms and direct it to other purposes, such as legacy-building projects or anointing a successor in 2028.

The White House brushes aside those concerns, and MAGA Inc. spokesperson Alex Pfeiffer characterized them as whining from anonymous detractors. It is unclear when Trump’s personal political operation will begin spending on the midterms or give donors more information on its plans. “There is an expectation funds are coming soon,” said a GOP donor, who like others in this story was granted anonymity to discuss sensitive fundraising dynamics. “Mild panic will set in soon if it doesn’t by early summer.”

MAGA Inc., the super PAC that functions as Trump’s primary outside political operation, has a massive war chest heading into the midterms. While super PACs are supposed to operate independently, candidates, including Trump, often have significant sway over the organization. But the question for donors is not just about when MAGA Inc.’s floodgates will open. It’s about whether anything more than a trickle emerges.

What are they going to do, call the cops on him? LOL He owns the cops.

Trump couldn't care less about the midterms. As long as he is in office he can steal everything he can lay his tiny grubby hands on. That's all he cares about.

There is no doubt a new Democratic House will impeach him. But no matter what happens, I don't see any way to get 67 votes in the Senate. Having said that, Nixon resigned when Republican Senators went to the White House and told him they had enough committed votes to convict. But that was back in the day when most Republican Senators were still men of honor. Now, I can't think of a single Republican Senator that I would describe as honorable.

That there are TONS of "donations" that have made their way into Trump's off shore accounts............

There were huge donations to his "Inauguration" parties, far far more than was spent.....Where did the money disappear to????
and since then, an un-fathomable amount of money and "gifts" have gone his way, or "disappeared"

These things are all common for third world Fascist Dictators........

he was taking the current, baby blue AFone and installing it in his "Library" and keeping the one donated for himself.....(of course AFTER we spend billions installing everything state of the art.) He is planning on having the Donated 747 finished before the end of his term, because the two new ones being built by Boeing won't be finished until his term is finished.......

They could also use it to buy ads on truth social. That is all...if the felon or the kids owned TV or radio stations, it could be used for ad buys there.

Maybe, just maybe. They can pay the kids for consulting fees through the trump organization so that mango Mussolini gets a cut of that too.

Have these donors not noticed the open air Trump grift that's been going on since he was sworn in? Everything is all about making himself, his family and friends richer.
