Trump administration keeping underage pregnant migrants in a single Texas shelter where abortion is outlawed: report

Donald Trumps administration is concentrating all pregnant children being held in federal immigration enforcement custody into one group shelter in south Texas, a state where abortion is outlawed with no exceptions for survivors of rape or incest.
Since last summer, more than a dozen pregnant minors, some as young as 13 years old, have been moved to a facility in San Benito along the U.S.-Mexico border, according to a joint investigation by The Texas Newsroom and The California Newsroom, citing sources within the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) within the Department of Health and Human Services.
The agency is responsible for children who entered the United States without a parent or legal guardian or who were separated from their families by immigration authorities.
Their detention at the Texas facility deviates from longstanding federal policy, which has typically placed unaccompanied minors into ORR shelters or foster homes that can handle high-risk pregnancies. But legal advocates and care providers fear the administration has concentrated those girls into a poorly equipped Texas shelter, even if they were detained in other states, to ensure they are denied access to abortion care.

(7,613 posts)to describe the evil of trump and epstein. I've read some of the files, memos, emails, etc... and I can tell you at 70 years old now, I just can't fathom it... let alone get my head around how long the shit has been going on. What it's done to my heart and soul is beyond words...

its almost like I feel they deserve us to read about them and what happened. Those babies likely never had names and died as newborns but they deserve to have people care that they existed.
It is still surreal. I cant fathom what those monsters did - and that the DOJ has hidden their names and faces.

(7,613 posts)that people could be THAT evil. It's so foreign to me... it's like they're not even of the same species as us. Tell me they're lizard people from the planet Rigelus and I'd probably be more likely to agree with that than that they're human! My grandson and I were talking some about it last night, he could tell I was really in a dark, depressive state, and was trying to help. There's not enough violence that could be done to them to make them accountable, IMO. And not enough money in the Treasury to pay back for all the pain and suffering and PTSD he's put on us. I feel evil just reading what accounts I can wade through... but like you, I feel like I need to read them to acknowledge the suffering and carnage brought upon these innocents. I've never been so ashamed to be not only am American, but a human being.

I know this is barbaric abuse of children. Pointing out the enraging differences.
Also whos paying for lifelong care of babies? Not a rhetorical question.
Or are they planning to adopt them ie sell to highest bidder?
Yes, Im sickened by this further step into the dark.
