Democratic senators come out in opposition to funding DHS, raising the risk of another government shutdown next week

Source: AP

BY MICHELLE L. PRICE

Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto said Saturday that she too would not vote for legislation in the Senate that would fund the Department of Homeland Security.

In doing so, Cortez Masto joined fellow Nevada Democratic Sen. Jacky Rosen. The two moderates broke with their party last year on a vote over the last government shutdown.

Others like Democratic Sen. Brian Schatz of Hawaii have said in the wake of the shooting that they would oppose a DHS funding bill that is part of a spending package in the Senate that aims to avoid a partial government shutdown at the end of the month.

Republicans will be blamed no matter what Thune does.
Dems and MSNOW will be all over this as they were with healthcare.
Neither the GOP nor the felon will go up in the polls over this.

and IF he uses a shutdown to negotiate a serious reining in of ICE, it will be great.

We shall see what happens.

We've all seen this movie before. If they would have not already caved twice last year, just think of all the lives that would have been saved.

Shut it down. Shut it all down. It's not working anyway.

Give them this line: Remember how you caved after House Democrats said "Republicans want to cut your healthcare so badly, they'll shut down the government to do it."

Do you really want to cave when it comes to Democratic American lives and cities and states?? When it comes to the invasion of Minnesota?
