Trump says Venezuelan oil is already coming into American refineries

WASHINGTON – Venezuelan oil seized by the United States is already being processed at American refineries, according to President Donald Trump.

In a Jan. 23 interview with the New York Post, the president said the oil was "coming into the refineries in Houston, in various places.” "Let’s put it this way," he said. "They don’t have any oil. We take the oil."

Trump said he "wasn't allowed" to disclose the location of seven tankers the American military has taken from the beleaguered Latin American country. Since capturing and deposing Venezuela's leader on Jan. 3 and declaring the U.S. would take over the nation's vast oil reserves, the president has encouraged the heads of major oil companies to invest in rebuilding its energy sector and increase output following years of crippling sanctions.

The administration secured its first sale of Venezuela's oil in a deal worth $500 million, an administration official said this week. Three sources with knowledge previously told USA TODAY that some of those funds would be stored in an account in the Persian Gulf nation of Qatar.

1. It's BEEN coming into U.S. for years. As usual, he's lying in the form of bullshit. As if he made it happen.

Venezuelan oil has been arriving in the U.S. prior to the felon's attacks. FOR YEARS, Chevron had been operating under a special U.S. license, importing approximately 100,000 to 150,000 barrels per day of Venezuelan crude to the U.S. Gulf Coast. 

The feeble minded liar thinks Americans can be fooled.

Only his braindead base can be fooled. Even if you say just one word: Chevron.

2. Venezuelan Crude Oil...

Is, as I understand it, considered to be “heavy,” full of sulfur and the predominant distillate is used for asphalt. There aren’t many refineries capable of handling that type of crude and most of them are not located in the US.

Again, this is what I’ve read about it, and if there’s any incorrect information here it’s either from my misunderstanding the article or incorrect information within it.

3. Ok, aren't we already shipping oil we already are producing out of the country?

If so why the hell do we 'need' this oil then at all?
