President Trump on Thursday said the United States will soon strike drug cartels on land. We are going to start now hitting land with regard to the cartels. The cartels are running Mexico, Trump said during an appearance on Fox Newss Hannity, without providing further details about the plans.
His comments follow a monthslong U.S. military operation attacking vessels alleged to be transporting drugs in the Caribbean Sea and elsewhere. White House and Pentagon officials justified some of the lethal strikes by noting that boat occupants were members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, which was designated as a foreign terrorist organization last year.
The Trump administration on Saturday captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores. Both were transported to the U.S. to face narco-trafficking charges.
U.S. military forces also struck infrastructure in the northern region of Venezuela before raiding Maduros residence in Caracas. The Trump administration has also sought to exert control of Venezuelas oil industry and said the country would turn over 30 to 50 million barrels of oil to the U.S.

(8,319 posts)There might be some stocks in gun manufacturing. The cartels will be wanting more smuggled weapons & ammo from the US if he puts boots on the ground in countries where cartels wield power.
WAR INC profits will soar. And the main item on his resume does involve marketing.

This week marked the 40th anniversary of one of the worst tragedies in Philadelphias history. In May 1985, the citys police department dropped an improvised bomb on a residential home that housed the Black revolutionary organization MOVE. The bomb and ensuing fire killed 11 people, including five children, and destroyed more than 60 nearby homes. Ali Rogin reports.

(379 posts)The Trumpists orchestrated a perfect media transfer from Maduro's oil, by teasing a possible invasion of Greenland.... and now, maybe, Mexico. All while burying the Epstein news and illegally refusing to release the files.
The murder in Minnesota threw a kink into their methodology so now they will have to pull off something even more alarming and illegal to change THAT subject.
Steven Miller, the man who looks like an angry penis, will come up with something. He always does.
Works every time.

(15 posts)Wikipedia definition, first paragraph:
A cartel is a group of independent market participants who collaborate with each other and avoid competing with each other in order to improve their profits and dominate the market. They seek to limit competition, fix prices, and increase prices by creating artificial shortages through low production quotas, stockpiling, and marketing quotas.
That's very interesting from a certain point of view.

(28,640 posts)WTF??? President Sheinbaum has told him to stay the hell away from her country. That they don't need his, "help," for any drug problem. He can't stand a woman disrespecting him, and holds grudges forever.
Carrying out the grand plan to take over all of Latin America. Apparently his excuse will be they're all overrun with drug cartels, and the governments are involved. Congress best be amending that new proposed law to keep further military action out of Venezuela, and make it--just stay out of other countries in the Western hemisphere.
