'Where's everybody going?' Confusion as 'hordes' of people exit Trump talk early

Source: Raw Story

June 14, 2025 8:28PM ET

Donald Trump's birthday/military parade had some lowlights that were exposed by the New York Times. NYT reporter John Ismay, who covers the Pentagon with a focus on armed conflict and the defense industry, attended the event on Saturday.

As part of his reporting, he provided the following live update: "Overall this was a pretty listless and low-energy parade and crowd. People wearing Trump paraphernalia far outnumbered those wearing Army hats and shirts from what I could see."

He added, "There were no speakers along the parade route, so spectators couldn’t hear whatever was being broadcast by the announcers closer to the reviewing stand. People are now flooding across Constitution Avenue at 18th Street to leave."

White House correspondent Shawn McCreesh also provided an update. Before Trump or JD Vance had even started to speak, the reporter wrote, "Hordes of people are streaming east across the mall to leave."

Who want s to watch a bunch of tanks roll by?

We have to undertsand that Trump's intellecual capacity is below the average brown collar union-free laborer.
He watches totalitarian parades where spectators were forced to attend and pretend enthusiasm.
This is the result without the coercion. I'm sure when he figures it out, the coercion will be ok with him

But I would have hated being in a parade. All of the boring stuff that comes with being a tanker, and none of the cool fun stuff, like live-fire exercises, movement-to-contact marches, field maneuvers, etc.

A boring shit-detail just to massage the ego of a draft dodger. Ugh!

but apparently theFrench like it. I wish Donald hadn't seen it.

He looks at this country and the only improvement he can think of for $30 million is a military parade.

They showed all the "dignitaries" every so often like Rubio and you could tell they were bored out of their SKULLS. I watched a replay and it went on and on and on. They sky was so overcast and hazy they could barely fly the helo's around.

My guess is LOADS of ketchup on the wall after that disaster............

from her high-school band days watched a few minutes of the parade. Her friend said, if they had ever marched out of step as badly as some of the troops were, their band director, would have gone bat-shit crazy at them. He said you could tell the soldiers didn't want to be there.

People just don't like him, trust him or feel he is competent at running the country.

You don't win friends and influence people by:
Sending military troops in to quell civil unrest.
(You will just turn it violent)
Deporting peoples' workmates and workers who harvest crops with indiscriminate and heavy handed ICE actions.
(Expect food shortages and price rises.)
Make promises you have no intention or power to keep.
(People remember what you promised them before they voted for you.)
Appointing people to jobs they have no competency in because you don't understand what those jobs require.
(But they do lick your boots for you.)
Telling people you are smart and exceeding competent, and everyone should love you.
(When the evidence says otherwise, very clearly.)

And lastly:
You don't win friends and influence people by being Donald Trump.

Anyone with a functional brain would see this is a disaster and bow out.
(But this is Trump we are talking about, so that isn't going to happen.)
