Sesame Street's brutal parody of Trump may have led to his 'vendetta' against PBS: report

Source: Raw Story/Alternet

A Sesame Street character with the most trash and a fragile ego was possibly one parody too far for President Donald Trump, according to the Daily Beast:

"The president signed an executive order to halt all federal funding to PBS, the free public broadcasting service. Almost immediately, people began to suspect that Trump's vendetta against the network wasn't because of its 'woke programming,'" wrote The Beast's Clare Donaldson. "Instead, it's all to do with a certain puppet show that has been trolling the man since the '80s."

One of Trump's longest-running haters isn't one of his alleged scam victims, but "'Sesame Street'--the educational children's program that taught generations of kids to read and count." Cue the song lyric: "He's got so much trash it spills out of his can!"

Ronald Grump first hit the scene in the late 1980s as a "famous Grouch builder" looking to replace Oscar's trash can with a condominium of waste bins called "Grump Tower." All Oscar had to do was surrender his can and relocate to a trashy condo in Grump's new construction.

Note that "Sesame Street" was filmed in and took place in a fictional neighborhood in NYC.

It's no wonder he bankrupted a casino, he has no game face. All he has is bluster and threats. Sesame Street hurt him very deeply, scarring him for life, and he can't get over it. Now, in protest too much, he shows the world once again how frail and weak his ego is. So he yells louder and does whatever he thinks will hurt his offender more, not realizing how correct he shows Sesame Street to be.

So the only way The Orange Idiot could ever know about the history of the Donald Grump character is if he actually watches Sesame Street. The very fact that he finds time to watch between golf games is even more amazing! But seriously...he does have trouble following the content, and so he has Barron explaining the program for him. All you Americans failed to step up and elect Kamala, you at least could have voted for Elmo!

They knew he was a POS back then. Ronald Grump developed a shitty Grump Tower evicting Oscar the Grouch from his trash can home and ruining the neighborhood

Somebody please tell me what the one character sings after the line "His trash is more trashy" at 01:33 in the original post.

I turned on the closed caption option for that YouTube video and even that didn't catch it.

Listening to it a couple times, I *think* what the character sung was - "His fish stinks the most".

IIRC, part of that little skit had Grump challenge them (in order to whittle down who could continue working with him), by having them try to correctly guess "how many fish could fit" in a can.

I must have recent events on my kind, because I thought she said “ He thinks he’s the Pope”.

No way the Sesame Street writers could be that prescient!
