President Biden has no plans of pardoning son Hunter Biden, White House says

Source: ABC News

November 7, 2024, 5:16 PM

President Joe Biden does not plan to pardon his son, Hunter Biden, who was convicted on federal gun charges, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre reiterated during a press briefing on Thursday. Hunter Biden is scheduled to be sentenced next month on the gun charges as well as federal tax-related charges in a separate case.

When asked Thursday whether the president has any intention of pardoning his son, Jean-Pierre responded, "We've been asked that question multiple times. Our answer stands, which is no."

Jean-Pierre said she didn't have comment on pardons the president intends to make at the end of his term, including any administration officials or people threatened by President-elect Donald Trump with legal action.

"I know pardons is going to be a big part of the questions that I get here over the next several weeks and a couple of months that we have," she said. "I don't have anything to share or any thought process on pardons. Once we have something to share, we certainly will share with that."

... sounds like Biden. He likes to play by the rules... I think most Dems do, while a very visible alternate group does NOT adhere to any "norms" or guidelines. Maybe we should use the pardon power like they will, this time?

... or, i could stay with Hunter going through the process, if he's given some kind of probation. I think it's wrong to "punish" him, for this gun crime, with prison time. I am not afraid of going out anywhere and getting shot by Hunter Biden.

Pardon his son. Get him out of jail. And the whole lot of them find safe haven. If anyone is locked up, either in prisoner or the family can be compelled into danger.

attend the inauguration out of caution of being arrested as political prisoners. Showing up to be nice and polite may cost you your lives.

Trump has already said he is going to block the court cases against him, try to kill the judgements (plural!) against him - all to the cheers of the Reich-wing’s vast army of delusional and ignorant bigots - and let’s not leave out the HUNDREDS convicted IN COURT for an attempted Coup d’Etat he will also pardon - and Joe will not pardon Hunter???

Joe is being, to quote G. Gordon Lilly, “insufficiently ruthless.” It’s a monster fail in the Democratic Party.

And when the Reich and media come after him - call me for a short and in-your-face response.

How the FUCK could any father not bail out his son????

After the YEARS of Comer Pyle and Jacket-off Jordan treating his son like the worst child-raping criminal in human history???

I would stick it right up their asses on inauguration day. Pardon him, pocket pardon EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT in his admin as well as every single DOJ official who tried to imprison the traitorous pig.

SCORTCHED EARTH Joe, scortched Earth!!!!!

We don’t do anything about other folks with registration issues but this gets hauled out by “AG” Garland over the President’s son. We don’t do anything about Trump’s taxes, but let’s haul out Hunter’s. He’s clean and in recovery.

But please do go on dragging his name through the mud.

He should pardon everyone the Brown Shirts have already promised they will target, and anyone else we can assume they might decide to target... and that includes all the Bidens, the Obamas, the Clintons, Kamala and family, the Cheneys, Jack Smith, and all the prosecutors, judges, media (etc.) who have angered Trump and his thugs. (Joe can leave Garland, Comey and Haberman off the pardon list, though!)

How must it feel knowing that a felon has just been elected President and your dad had the power to pardon your much less serious felony and didn't. This is the second thing Biden has disappointed me about.
