Missouri abortion providers sue to immediately restore women's reproductive rights

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Abortion-rights providers sue the state of Missouri in an effort to quickly restore access to reproductive freedoms in the state.
The American Civil Liberties Union announced the lawsuit, which also involves Planned Parenthood, was filed just hours after Missouri voters passed Amendment 3 to restore womens reproductive rights.
The lawsuit, filed in Jackson County, requests a preliminary injunction to block the enforcement of some of the laws that conflict with the Missouri Constitution, according to the ACLU.
Some of those restrictions include:
Multiple abortion bans
Bans that limit abortion care based on a patients reason for having an abortion
Unnecessary facility requirements that supporters believe unfairly target providers
Hospital admitting privileges requirements
Biased and medically inaccurate counseling requirements
Forced delay periods that require patients to make multiple trips to a clinic for care
A ban on the delivery of medication abortion by telemedicine
Criminal penalties for abortion providers
