Heads up: You may experience temporary issues with forums on DU

As part of our ongoing DU4 project we are currently working on some behind-the-scenes updates. These updates should not affect anything major, but may cause some temporary issues with the way forums are listed. If any issues do occur, we'll do our best to revert them promptly. But if you notice anything unusual happening, such as forum names going missing for a short period of time, it's not you -- it's us.

(I've heard that there may also be some issues with media not loading in Twitter embeds today. Please note that this is NOT related to anything that we're doing, but is either a user issue or a problem at Twitter's end.)

Would it be possible for DU to have a dark mode for night viewing on DU. The bright white background is hard on my old eyes. I will understand if this is not an option.

4. Yes, this will be an option on DU4

Unfortunately we still don't have a time frame for when DU4 will be ready to launch, but a "Night Mode" option is in the works and will be included.

(We also plan to have a "Day/Night" option that automatically switches between Default Mode and Night Mode every day at a time of your choosing.)

I'd always voted, mostly for Democrats, but that was about it. I'd fall asleep when my grandparents turned on the Sunday political shows. But I'm in New York and 9/11 scared me witless and woke me up! So now I watch almost nothing but news and worked on my former congressman's political campaigns. Not to mention that I'm here on DU every day, it's the place I learn the most.

5. Speaking of forums

Would it be possible to add a TOONS forum where JHB and anyone posting Toons could put them, and making it easier to find them ?
It could go under Entertainment…

7. Well... I'm looking to reduce the number of forums on DU4, not increase them

BUT... we are also updating the Subscriptions function, so as well as subscribing to forums, you'll finally be able to subscribe to people.

This means that you would be able to subscribe directly to JHB, so whenever he posts his Toons thread you would get a notification. This functionality is already up and running on our test version of DU4.
