I have a theory. A conspiracy theory maybe, but just something I was thinking about.

I think we probably all agree that ACES was the one good thing that Sarah accomplished and that she appeared to be a thorn in the side of Big Oil. Do you think it possible that someone in the industry influenced John McCain and the Republican Party to pick her for VP to get her out of Alaska's politics so that the more compliant and oily Sean could take over? Sarah's so vain that she probably wouldn't have suspected that she was being used, but what better way for them to all operate behind the scenes. Maybe she knew and was paid off (hello, Fox) or was a willing participant all along, who knows, but it just seems too convenient that Sean Parnell and the corrupt bastards are back at the helm.

but that was before 2004, when he sold his soul to Bush, and hugged the man that ruthlessly attacked his wife and daughter during the 1999 Republican primary in South Carolina.
