BLOUNT COUNTY, Ala. (WKRC) As many as 400 FedEx packages were found tossed into an Alabama ravine, according to the Blount County Sheriff.
The sheriff didn't believe they had been there longer than a day or two before they were discovered on Wednesday.
At the first report, FedEx sent one truck down to recover the packages. The company then had to send multiple trucks and drivers from all over the south.
By midday on Thanksgiving, they had all the packages loaded into trucks from the ravine.

(913 posts)I'm assuming they took 27 8x10 color glossy pictures, with circles and arrows, and a paragraph on the back of each one, explaining what each one was, to be used as evidence, right? That's standard practice in cases like this?

(5,125 posts)Our company had a new hire drive the truck away while it was being loaded. We do enough business with them that we have a semi trailer parked at the dock that we fill all day long.
Pick up is supposed to be at 6pm. They were 10 minutes early and never came inside to check or even looked in back to see if the door was closed.
Never seen that much stupid from FedEx or UPS.
Could have just been new hire nerves.... but this one sounds like an on purpose drop in the ravine.
we can do it
