(60,011 posts)Those who know are saying he is not popular with mainstream Repubs in the state, not at all.
that's one of the reasons we have heard little of Tuberville post Insurrection. He's not drawing attention to himself, what with elections coming up next year.
Hopefully he's in the cross hiars of the feds.
state Repub. party os well aware what it has cost to have trump as a poster child.

(15,359 posts)I've been damn near freakin' Howard Hughes level lockdown for too long. That one outing, if I get away with it was fun. I'm a hurtin' unit today though.
Back to recluse land now. I skipped last year because I wasn't vaccinated. This year, one of the long term owner that went last year skipped because he isn't vaccinated. He's a guy that is just terrified of needles. That's funny, because he was on my softball team when we were younger, and other than myself, he was a guy you wouldn't mess with. Tough as nails and won't get the shot. WTF?
He's one along with other people that were long the anti-vaxxers that I kind of feel sorry for. I expected them to not get the vax and if it weren't for all the COVIDiots resisting for political reasons and misinformation, they would be safer and wouldn't be that much of a threat to the rest of us.

(60,011 posts)One league for the last 29 years and another league he is in, for the 12th year.
He lives/works in the same collage town, same group of guys in the leagues, all these years.
So they know each other well, and it's something they do in the safety of their homes.
It also helps that, like me,he is a hermit by nature, really guards his alone time.

(15,359 posts)it's always Labor Day weekend, so it's not busy. We actually kind of have our pick of places here for that. No one has anything going on, so they love us.
