Hog wash that he wanted to show off his new remodel old used up plane which cost millions of taxpayer dollars, but yet AF1 was flown to Turkey also!
If he concerned about his safety? That means the grifted plane wasnt up to security standards?
Iran has put a bounty on him and Im pretty certain that other countries have too?
No matter the reason? They should always fly on AF1? Well maybe not him?🤔
Also, I cant imagine what the cost of flying 2 planes ?

If he concerned about his safety? That means the grifted plane wasnt up to security standards? > He's ignorant about all that, but his staff finally got him off that damn second-hand jet
Iran has put a bounty on him and Im pretty certain that other countries have too? > He's making all that up like everything else

(26,998 posts)Iran's leaders are just as vindictive as Trump.
I remember when Al Qaida had a bounty on Bush Jr. $25 million, I think. He went to a G20 meeting in -- Italy, I think. Extreme security.

A large sign saying We will kill Trump is carried by funeral-goers in Mashhad, Iran, where supreme leader Ali Khamenei was being buried on July 9, 2026. (via X, used in accordance with Clause 27a of the Copyright Law)
Does it mean that it's a credible threat? (Like they have the means to do it? They could if Trump's SS faulters, but I don't think it will)

(9,000 posts)Have The anti-missile defenses on it that that AF1 and AF2 have. That was the main reason for the EXPENSIVE SWITCH in the middle of a round trip.
So because of his vanity hand me down jet we pay more money to still shuttle a safer one to him every time his bunghole tightens up in fear.
When they said he was going to Ankara I thought to myself does he know how close (relatively) that is to Iran? Of course not, you know he got gentleman's Ds in geography.
So here we are. I think he should only use the hand me down jet in the continental US.

2 planes minimum are always taken. Plus other cargo-type aircraft to haul The Beast limo, a. helicopter, etc, etc, etc.

(16,569 posts)Brings up another question!
Did they take a 3rd plane also? Because Air Farce 1 wasnt coming back right of way? It was to stop in England and Europe a couple of to be shown off like a real prize winning trophy?
Just adds to a greater sense of idiocy!

(2,540 posts)There is always a backup. And multiple other jets of various sizes that go with it. Cargo planes for the limo and other vehicles along with Marine 1. Usually the 2 VC-25's, a C17 and C5, possibly the a E-4B and a depending on the distance, a tanker. Also smaller jets from business class ones up to regional airliner sized ones for moving staff or extra passengers. 5-7 aircraft on average are flown, more if needed.

(1,670 posts)There was plane after plane. The beast's cargo plane. What appeared to be planes for other people with him, and the real glorious AF1.
I wish it were easier to post pictures here. I treasure the ones I took that day.
Foreign state trips must require more planes and additional defense than within the US.
