I did send a contribution to Talarico (he's running in Texas, how could I not?).

However, I never use Act Blue. They would have taken $138.25 out of my contribution for themselves, so I sent him a good, old fashioned check. My wife and I hate using credit cards anyway, this is not a departure from the way we usually make contributions of any kind.

I kinda chickened out during the primary. It was obvious to me that Crockett had no chance whatsoever in the General, so I waited the primary out. You know the drill--your heart tells you one thing, your head tells you the opposite. But now that our candidate is decided, there is no alternative to donating as much as is legally permitted/personally affordable. If that's nothing, there is no shame in that. A LOT of people are having to scrape for their last dollar these days. On the other hand if you can afford to take the purely Marxist stance (from each according to his ability to each according to his needs), well there is no better race in which to do it than this one! Well, maybe Jon Ossoff's re-election campaign, but I maxed out to him, too.
