All of you inspired me to get out into my back yard and photograph these amazing oak-leaved hydrangeas!
Thank you so much, and enjoy!
I took them with my Olympus Mark IV camera, mirrorless. My lens was my 100 to 400 mm lens.

(156,957 posts)I'm no pro, but I have the "eye" and very good equipment! That covers a lot of what it takes to get a good photo.
Of course there will be more photos! Probably not today.

(156,957 posts)I did enjoy being outside with the sunlight and breeze . . .
But I have limited energy and very soon I will be taking a nap! Normal for me at this time of day.
I will always be taking photos!

(156,957 posts)I very much doubt that your plant didn't thrive because you didn't treat it right. It was probably in the wrong zone.
I am glad that you're enjoying my photos!

I'm feeling fortunate today, because my boys came to help me on the lawn & garden. I can't put my finger on it, but I'm not capable of doing as much work in a day as I could fifty years ago. Maybe as much in a day as I used to do in well under and hour.
CaliforniaPeggy
(156,957 posts)None of us could do the work we did fifty years ago! NONE. That is a given fact.
We have other abilities. We have wisdom, and love and insight.
I'm so glad you're here so we can talk.

(29,782 posts)...for getting you out into your backyard so you could treat us to these photos.
And, as far as napping goes, I am quite fond of both napping, especially with a cat on y lap, and an acronym told to us by one of my husband's friends - SCAN = Senior Citizen Afternoon Nap.
So, SCAN away. It's one of the privileges of retirement.
CaliforniaPeggy
(156,957 posts)Naps regularly save my life! I had a most refreshing one today that lasted about 90 minutes. That's pretty standard for me.
I love your acronym!
