Republicans are waiting for a tragedy.
They hope and pray that it doesn't happen but they know it is possible. Perhaps even likely.
When you have a lying, incompetent, bull-shitting, malevolent narcissist leading your Party, do not expect anything good to come from it.
Unfortunately, Republicans will do nothing until tragedy strikes. They enjoy living on the edge.
But the bullshit is old.
He threatens the stability of the world with his arrogant and threatening words. Republicans seem to believe that the rest of the world should be like them and not take it seriously. But being President of the United States is a serious position. You cannot simply dismiss his words and actions as if they do not matter.
Today, we find ourselves enmeshed in a war of choice in the Middle East and no way to get out of it. It could go off the rail very quickly. As Hillary once noted, it is not good when your leader can be manipulated by a tweet.
Meanwhile, Republicans cling to hope. They dare not do anything to prevent a tragedy that is surely on its way.

(41,068 posts)I hate these fucks so much, I've had to back away from DU, news, everything, since the SCOTUS decision. The number of shitholes on social media claiming the vote ruling actually decreases racism is equally depressing & disgusting, but that +30% of our population will back the orange fuck & his fascist pricks, no matter what they do, is rage inducing.
