CNN privacy policy requires me to give them my personal contact information

I just followed a link to an article and a huge ACCEPT button blocked my view. When I followed it, there was a link to their privacy policy declaring I had to fork over my person contact information.

Guess I won't be reading CNN again any time soon.

I visited CNN.com and was greeting by a Terms of Use agreement that had to be assented to before I could reach any content. Here are the links to their Terms of Use & Privacy Policy

You don’t have to provide any personal information to READ articles. You might have to if you are going to write comments there. If so, I applaud them for making people accountable for what they publish as comments. Think of it as Troll-Prevention

I want to try replicating your request to see if I get the same result. Thanks
(I used to do this sort of thing as a living)
