The husband of the Secretary of Education

slams into a vehicle while doing a reported 100mph last July. Notice the difference in treatment to anybody else who would have done the same thing. No questions about drinking or drug use. Not by any cop on the scene. No demands to get out of the car. No lectures. Just Connecticut cops smoothing it all over with the least hassle for the billionaire. Notice how the judge helped make it all go away like nothing ever happened.

As one commenter said it's amazing the cops didn't give the woman a ticket for impeding the path of a billionaire.

3. So I guess it's ok for all of us to drive over 100mph now?

If you clip somebody, no big deal, the cops will call you Sir, and let you leave the scene. Good to know.

4. I saw that on the news. Amazing. Any one of us would be in court for reckless driving. IMO, he looks shit faced, too.

put him in a "diversion" program and told him to make a $1,000 donation to charity, keep his nose clean and paperwork up to date and the charges will go away. He very easily could have killed someone.

Vince looked pretty AFU to me.
But the Peace Officer may have been concerned about a forearm shiver

McMahon received a misdemeanor summons for reckless driving and following too closely resulting in an accident, which occurred July 24 near the old Exit 41 on the northbound side of the Merritt Parkway in Westport. He was released at the scene on a $500 bond.

In October, a judge granted McMahon an accelerated rehabilitation program for a period of one year on the condition that he make a $1,000 charitable contribution and only drive if properly licensed and insured. The charges will be dismissed on Oct. 15, 2026 if McMahon stays out of trouble....

That's like a whole penny to your average Joe.

We need fines levied like Finland does - the more you make the more you pay.
